As we begin 2018 we continue our ongoing financial planning. We look to God for guidance, so what does Scripture teach us about giving? Which is more important, giving or receiving? Will our financial tithes and gifts fund Monticello’s mission to make disciples? We begin 2018 with celebration for what we have done and look to the future with hope of what we can accomplish in God’s name.
We begin this year by making our pledges to Monticello’s work - in our church, through the Children’s Center, to our community and the world. We’ll hear stories about how Monticello has impacted lives. Your commitment of prayers, presence, gifts, time and financial support will determine what we can do and become.
The Finance Committee asks that you prayerfully discern how you will support God’s ongoing work through our church. January 28 will be Pledge Sunday. We will offer our cards as an act of worship during our service. Then we’ll celebrate what God is doing with an all church potluck lunch.
Our church is a treasure!
