One CHurch: Two buildings

Sanctuary building

When you walk into Monticello United Methodist Church- it's just like coming home. Monticello UMC is a church dedicated to welcoming others, sharing community, walking with Christ and making disciples of Jesus to transform the world.

This brick building sits just east of Monticello's original Chapel (see below). The brick building houses our current Sanctuary, a Fellowship Hall and Monticello Preschool This building was built in 1973 (Fellowship Hall) and 1990 (Sanctuary).

one church: two buildings

Originally built in 1894 but shortly destroyed by fire during an electrical storm. This building was rebuilt a short time later.

Today the Chapel houses the church offices, a small meeting space and Monticello's Youth Center. Monticello hosts candlelight prayer and meditation services at times throughout the year in this spiritual space.
