Missions and service

Monticello offers a monthly opportunity to serve at Shawnee Community Services. Shawnee Community Services located at 11110 W. 67th (67th and Nieman) is a local food pantry and free clothing resource. Today, on average, 397 households per month benefit from the pantry boxes. www.scsks.org.

This month we will continue to collect peanut
butter and applesauce
for Shawnee Community
Services. SCS goes through a lot of peanut butter!
All non-perishables are welcomed, these two items are always in shorter supply. Please leave food items at the
Connection Point in Fellowship Hall.

Donate Blood
in Fellowship Hall. Give the gift of life!  Sign up at the Connection Point or online HERE.
If you have questions, please contact Dick Shaffer
at shafferbcs@aol.com.

Did you know that every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood? Red Cross reports every day,
roughly 36,000 units of red blood cells are needed in the U.S. That’s a lot of blood! One blood donation could help up to three patients. There are benefits to the
donors as well.
