Youth Ministry Director

Monticello United Methodist Church is a historic, family-oriented, caring, and welcoming church in the heart of Western Shawnee. LifeBridge UMC is a vibrant church for the generations in the same location. We’re seeking a part-time Youth Director to serve both churches by overseeing our student ministry for 6th-12th grade students. Our vision is that this leader will build up these programs, teach and care for the students, and empower the students, parents, and volunteers to serve God and one another.

 

The ideal candidate for this position is…

  • Has a strong, personal relationship with and faith in Jesus Christ
  • Passionate about and caring toward the lives of students, as well as their spiritual formation and growth
  • Strategically minded and able to think I well into the future
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Familiar with United Methodist theology (or willing to learn)
  • Must have excellent communication skills with both youth and adults
  • Proven ability to work effectively with youth, diverse individuals and teams of volunteers
  • Ability to develop, equip, and empower parents and volunteers to support youth ministry
  • Administratively skilled and able to build systems that empower others

Children's Ministry Director

Monticello United Methodist Church is a historic, family-oriented, caring, and welcoming church in the heart of Western Shawnee. We’re seeking a part-time Director of Children’s Ministry to serve our children up through 5th grade and their families. Our vision is that this leader will build up these programs, care for our children, and teach them to grow in their faith in Jesus.

 

The ideal candidate for this position is…

  • Has a strong, personal relationship with and faith in Jesus Christ
  • Passionate about and caring toward the lives of children
  • Has a desire to teach and guide children with patience and an accepting heart
  • Strategically minded and able to think I well into the future
  • Familiar with United Methodist theology (or willing to learn)
  • Must have excellent communication skills with both youth and adults
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children, diverse individuals and teams of volunteers
  • Teaching experience either professionally or through a church setting
